Silver Lake is a new 232-unit, market rate transit-oriented apartment community located at 115 Belmont Avenue in Belleville, New Jersey. The site is situated adjacent to the Silver Lake light rail station that connects directly into Newark Penn Station. The apartment complex will offer modern finishes and amenities including a 15,000 square foot Blink Fitness as well as additional retail and green space. The two new buildings will rise four stories above a podium that accommodates new retail and garage parking at street level. Construction on the Silver Lake apartment community started in early 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2021. The new buildings are part of a larger mixed used project that includes a pre-existing full-service grocery store, Super Fresh Food World, which has been serving Belleville residents since 2016.
